Ok ladies, I know we've all gone through this: after three hours at Sephora you've finally picked an eyeshadow that you really think will look great. But once your home... trouble. Either the color is too bright, too dark or it just isn't your shade. Unfortunately, your stuck with the unuseable colo

r but you don't have to make the same mistake again. There are a few tips of the trade to choosing the perfect color for your eyes.
Some women like to use very intense bright colors on their eyes and while there really is no problem with that, bright colors do tend to be difficult to match with your skin tone and eye color. Typically colors that are more neutral will blend the best with your eyes and skin. Neutral colors also transfer the best from the palette to your eyes in regards to maintaining their true color. For example: you may have noticed that a neon pink eyeshadow looks one way on the palette but when you brush it on your eyes the color changes slightly. While this is normal and is affected by your skin tone, a more neutral color on your eyes would blend naturally with your skin tone as opposed to battling with it to maintain its intensity.
A few guidelines to consider when choosing an eyeshadow are as follows:
According to eHow.com women with blue eyes should choose colors such as "soft browns or tans, with sandy or pink undertones." In addition eHow.com advises women with green eyes to try " khaki and brown shades with yellow undertones." And lastly eHow.com tells women with brown or black eyes to wear "browns and charcoal shades."
Another note on choosing an eyeshadow to complement your eye color is that it's generally not a good idea wear an eyeshadow that exactly matches the color of your eyes. So for those of you with blue eyes, a blue shadow is not the best color for you to wear. The same goes for green with green, brown with brown and so on.

How to Choose the Right Eye Makeup to Accent Your Eye Color
How to Choose the Right Eye Makeup to Accent Your Eye Color
Step1
Decide how you want to play up your eye color. Select to accent with eye shadow, eye liner or mascara.
Step2
Decide what type of eye shadow application you want to use: standard, smoky or extreme.
Step3
Understand that eye shadows in contrasting colors, even with standard application, can really make eyes stand out. Blue eyes really pop with neutral brown shadow shades like beiges, taupes and chocolates. However, they take on an smokier look using pewters, charcoals and blacks. For a simple tried and true look, it is even possible to use blues deeper in shade than the natural eye color. For an extreme look, bright berries and plums, turquoise blues, or silver and pewter shades will do the job. Green or hazel eyes shimmer in golden shades, muted plums or purples and mauve berry colors. For a more tried and true look, deep taupes and khakis, deep browns or even warm apricots and ultra dark greens will do the trick. For something extreme, green eyes glare in lighter green shades or with bright limes, fuschias or ultra sharp purples. Brown eyes look youthful in soft pinks, shimmering beiges and luscious apricots and light champagnes. For a more tried and true look, they glow in coppers and bronzes, khaki greens and doe browns. To make them funky and fun, neon blues, hot pinks and bright greens will definitely do the trick.
Step4
Know that eye liners in certain colors can also add more punch to the eyes, ensure that they say come hither, or make a bold statement. Blue eyes look best with gray, brown or medium blue eye liners. For a funkier look the choice is copper, bronze or deep gold. Those seeking a funkier look can get it with a dark purple or deep berry. Green or hazel eyes look good with eye liners in a deep gold, brown, forest green and black. But they can get funky with liners in navy, gray or deep pewter. They can really make a statement with deep purple. Brown eyes stay tried and true in chocolate brown, charcoal gray, and black. For something funkier in nature, there is a lighter gray, navy blue or rusty brown. For an even funkier look, brown eyes really pop with accented eye liner in eggplant or deep berry.
Step5
Understand that there are certain colors that should be avoided because of the color of the woman's skin tone. Blue-eyed women with a pink-toned skin should avoid all colors that are too pink in nature. Hot pinks and fuschias are particularly offensive, moving way beyond "funky" into the world of weird. Blue eyes that remain blue, with no tinges of green or turquoise, should avoid green shadows and liner. Those can actually dull the natural eye color. Green or hazel-eyed women with olive skin tones should stay away from certain neutral brown colors that contain a definitive yellow base. Such colors will make the eyes look dull and lifeless. Additionally, the yellow tone will bring out the worst part of the skin's coloring. Brown-eyed women need to avoid bright greens and any shade of turquoise or teal.
Step6
Another way to accent the eye color is with colored mascaras. However, for the most part, colored mascaras should be avoided because they are a bit too theatrical in nature. Older women, over the age of 45 should avoid any colored mascara that is obvious in nature as it will simply add to their aging process. Blue-eyed women, with lighter skin tones, might want to consider brown or brown/black mascaras. However, black, deep navy, charcoal gray, or midnight blue is also acceptable. Green or hazel eyes look best in brown/black, deep forest, or black mascara. Charcoal gray may be acceptable in certain conditioners. Younger women can also achieve a bold look by pairing pewter eye liner and shadow together. Brown eyes look best in brown/black or black mascara. For a funkier look, they can also mix eggplant liner and mascara together.

Best Eyeshadows for Your Eye Color
By Marsadie Posted on July 29, 2008 - 7:11pm
Are you looking to find the perfect eyeshadow colors for your eye color but don't know where to start? Makeup artists have made it easy by sharing what they have found to be the best eyeshadow shades for each eye color, using help from the standardized color wheel and hints from nature. Read on to find out what the best eyeshadows are for your eye color.
Best Eyeshadow for Brown or Hazel Eyes
Brown and hazel eyes are comparable to "earth tones" such as desert or beach sands. The shades you'll find accompanying these colors in nature are nudes, beiges, golds, and blues (think sand and water) and well as green (imagine a fresh, sprouting garden). Therefore, chose the same shades in your eyeshadow palettes.
Recommended color combos for brown or hazel eyes:
* Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow Duo in Coffee Shop
* L'Oreal HIP Eyeshadow Duo in Showy
* Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Duo in Irish Mist
Best Eyeshadow for Green Eyes
Green eyes are brought out by a shade that brings similar thoughts of "fortune": gold eyeshadow. Try shimmery and coppertone gold - gold with a tint of orange - to complement green eyes. For a truly striking look, opt for banana or sunset orange eyeshadows depending on your skintone. You could also try a soft pink eyeshadow with a darker pink in the crease (think the hue of pink roses).
Recommended color combos for green eyes:
* CoverGirl 1-Kit Eyeshadows in Sun City (lid) and Fire It Up (crease)
* Clinique Color Surge Eyeshadow in Posh Squash
* Dior 2 Coleurs Eyeshadow Duo in Diorland
Best Eyeshadow for Blue Eyes
Sun and sky, sand and sea, and sea and sky are all nature that come to mind when you think of blue hues. Therefore, blue looks stunning with eyeshadow shades such as yellow-oranges, beige sand tones, and other, deeper blue shades.
Recommended color combos for blue eyes:
* Estee Lauder Silky Eyeshadow Duo in Sage
* Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadows in Luring (lid) and The New Blue (crease)
* Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadows in Suntouched (lid) and Bikini Golden (crease)

A cor é a 6, Violet Artiste.

Olhos castanhos esverdeados pedem sombras violeta, prata, rosa-claro, mel, cobre, cinza, marrom e grafite.
